Good luck!

FWIW, we had a cat who had to have a hind leg amputated when she was a kitten.  She lived to be 18 years old, and I don't think she ever knew she was missing a leg.  She was the fastest climber in the house.   Cheesy

Thanks MI.

The first I knew that TigerCat was still alive was when my boy told me that the dogs had chased him into the stock trailer. From only being able to see TigerCat's head, I thought it was the other kitty that looks just like him..until I saw him myself just a couple hours later.  Then, just before I caught him, he was balanced on three legs on the barrel and eating.

Considering that he's partly wild, he's resting VERY well in the cat cage. In fact, when I stepped over to check on him this morning, he started purring! Shocked Cheesy

Yeah, he'll be ok. Wink

That's great...I'm so glad you got him back! It's a good sign that he's eating and resting well. Sounds like he'll do just fine. I'll keep sending good thoughts your way... Grin

Thanks you guys. Smiley

I gave him a bit of tuna-flavoured water (unwashed tuna can with bits of tuna and oil left in it with water added) earlier this afternoon and he was happy to have it. I'll give him a bit more water later on this evening, too. I don't want him to have any real food today as I'm hoping Susan will be able to amputate his leg for him tomorrow. Wink

You rock.  I was convinced he'd gone into hiding preparatory to dying.  I'm so glad I was wrong!

You and me both, Sunflower!

However, the saga's not quite over yet. Marian (the boy's grandmother) got ahold of Susan this morning. Come to find out, Susan will be gone for most of the next three weeks and, when she's here, has a full schedule already. >.< I put TigerCat back outside and asked Bast to watch over him for me until Susan was available to perform the surgery for him.

It's gonna be a while longer but his leg does seem to be healing around the break, appears to be fairly clean and he's got a good appetite so I'm hopeful. Wink

Well, it sounds like he doesn't have any intention of dying just yet!  So that's a big plus right there.

Jah, tis.

The latest:

A week and a half ago, the grandmother's partner hauled the loaded stock trailer down to the new place. A few days later, they were down there again and TIGERCAT was there! Cheesy The silly cat had stowed away in the trailer and got moved down there before anybody else did. They'll be going down again sometime this week and will be taking the cat cage (small kennel that I borrowed) with them to, hopefully, bring TigerCat back home so he can get that leg off.

<raises eyebrows>  I'm really getting a sense that this guy is choosing to Have a People (you) over just being feral.

I'm beginning to feel that myself. Wink A week ago Saturday, when I was down there, he came over to me and was weaving in and around my ankles meowing at me.

The "old people" are going down tomorrow and the cat cage is IN THE TRUCK this time. Susan is back on Friday and I'm VERY hopeful that we'll be able to get that leg taken care of for him.

Tis time again to ask any and all of your Dieties to help them catch TigerCat easily and get him into the cat cage and back up here so he can get better. Please? Smiley
