Prayers and wishes for successful cat capture and surgery.

Just experienced a "miracle" with my own cat. Sending positive & healing energy to TigerCat.

Thanks you guys. Unfortunately, unless they're able to catch him within the next couple hours or so (he wouldn't let either of them catch him when they first got there this morning), he'll have to wait there until I get down there again on Saturday. I'll go down with bribery material....smooshy catfood....so I can get him caught and into the cage.

He may have to wait another two days but he WILL BE coming back up here on Saturday at the latest!

Update:

I caught TigerCat today and he's now residing in the cat cage in the front room! I had to bribe him out of the stock trailer with the soft cat food but he's here now and WILL be getting that leg taken care of ASAP! Grin

I have been having a similar stray cat issue. We call him Orange Kitty and he has a huge abscess on the side of his face. It was really bad it started to drain into his eye. I tried everything to catch him but it would not work, he is to smart. I have been burning health candles for him. His abscess seems to have drained and his eye looks a lot better.

Bast walks with all the cats!

Thanks to all ya'll for the recent good thoughts for TigerCat. I've another update....

I talked to Susan just a few minutes ago. If I hadn't got TigerCat caught and in to her when I did, I probably wouldn't have had a TigerCat to take to her. He more than likely would have been dead because he had a massive infection raging. She put in a drain tube to help any remaining infection clear out and said that he's doing very much better now. If all continues to go as well as it has the past couple days, I should be able to get him back on Friday at the earliest, Saturday for sure.

I get to have a neutered, three-legged HOUSE kitty now and the grandmother's partner can't say squat about it, either! *evil grin*

Yaaay, Celtee! Glad to hear the kitty is doing well, and from the sounds of it, you now have a neutered, three legged house kitty who is tough as boots as well.

I just hope his voice lives up to how tough he sounds (says she with a tough-looking big 'ol black and white male last weighed in at 7-odd kg - who's miaow sounds kinda like a mouse-squeak. Funniest thing you'll ever see/hear).

I made the comment to a friend of mine tother day that he's got more than nine lives! Cheesy

His miaow sounds like a normal cat's. But that could change at any given time. Grin

Aaah, yes, the nine lives phenomenon.

*giggles* My dog has as many lives as any cat! He's been hit by a car, had tick fever, disappeared, father has told the pound to put him down for being an escape artist and getting picked up twice in two days (I was dirty on dad for days - then we got him back 6 weeks later), quite possibly been used for dog fight baiting or similar (apparently was found by an old couple in very beaten up condition during the 6 weeks we thought the pound had put him down), had apparent heart problems that cleared up before the vet could diagnose, went under anathesia at 14-15 years old to have lumps cut off... let alone being bowled over on the farm and everything else he's probably been through. Dad has thought he was a goner a couple of times, but he always seems to come good right before he makes that final decision to put him down. He lives with my parents - Dad has stated that he will do the deed when it becomes necessary, since it "doesn't feel right to hand my old mate over to a stranger for the final moments". I'm hapy my little fella won't suffer.

He's now 18 and although he'd probably still love to go for walks, he doesn't go outside the backyard now. The mind is willing, but the body can't manage more than about 50 metres of a walk... Cheesy Doesn't seem to be arthritic, although he's now somewhat deaf, possibly losing some eyesight and we have vague suspisions about dementia. But he seems happy enough.

For years we kept thinking the next winter would kill him, until Dad spotted him in the kennel with Sam (a large labrador), curled up on top of him in a little ball to stay warm during the cold nights.

The vet said the summer heat would kill him. 40+ degrees celsius, hottest part of the day and where is the little fool? Merrily trotting around in full sun, not bothered in the least.

So if my dog has that many lives, can you imagine how long your Tigercat is going to live for? Cheesy Cheesy

Your old feller sounds like a dog the grandmother's partner used to have...except for all the problems. Old Blue was a blue heeler and, when he was about 14 or so, he got distemper. Because the dog was so old, the idiot fool partner left him to his own devices (while spending mucho moolah on the, IMO, fat worthless Chesapeake bitch's vet bills...didn't help any; she died anyway). However, I'd go out to Blue's dog house, haul him out by his chain (unfortunately the only way I could get him out), give him bits of buttermilk and water, and sit and hold the dog for hours while I read a book. Blue pulled through that summer and lived another 8-10 years, the last few blind, nearly toothless and, I'm sure, at least partly deaf. But, Lordy, did he have a will to live that wouldn't quit!

Hey guys, nother update. Smiley

TigerCat came home today! (I'm sure he'd have been home yesterday but Susan misplaced my cell number.)

His leg is healing well, his eyes are glowing yellow again (I hadn't realized how dull they were until I saw him today!), and he's lovin life!  He's currently residing in my mom's chair in the front room, with the door to the rest of the house shut. Earlier, my boy and I were out there petting him and talking to him. He was purring up a storm and rubbing faces with my boy.

The grandmother's partner didn't say jack to me about getting a cat box and litter for him and keeping him in the house either! Grin Grin

I have a funny to share:

When I returned home from getting Tiger, my boy was in the tub so I went in to check on him. I told him that Tiger was home now and this is the conversation that took place:

Son: "We have a house cat now?!"

Me: "Yes."

S: "Where's he gonna poop?"

M: "I bought him a litter box and litter."

S: "You better tell grandpa."

M: "I already did."

S: "We have a house cat now?!?!"

M: "Yes."

S: "WOO HOO!"

My boy's taken with Tiger being in the house and Tiger's rather taken with my boy...he was actually rolling over so my boy could rub his tummy for him! Shocked

Good news! It sounds like your son is taken with him -- and vice versa.
