Hi everyone. I've been debating about posting here because I'm not very good at asking for help but I sure could use some. The short version is this: About 4 years ago my fiance and I decided to buy a house together. Unfortunately things didn't work out and after a lot of arguments and bad feelings I moved out on my own. I bought my own place because I didn't want to rent and moved in. Since then I just haven't been happy here. I've tried everything I can think of to make it feel like home but it just doesn't. On top of that the bills are piling up and I'm having trouble just keeping up (actually I've already started to fall behind). I'd get a second job but the schedule at my current job won't allow for one. My credit is steadily getting worse and I'm in no position to sell this place and go somewhere else. My ex-fiance and I have started seeing each other again but asking for his help at this point isn't really an option. It's gotten so that I don't even want to come home much anymore. I don't really have any family members to call on for help. My mom is the only one who would have understood but she passed away a few years ago. I have alot of friends but I seem to be pulling away from them because I'm so depressed about this situation. I've tried praying to the spirits that I always feel looking out for me but I'm not feeling the same connection...it's like they're just sitting back and watching. Any advice, good thoughts, prayers or anything would be very appreciated. I feel like I'm going under...

There are supposedly various places that help people in this situation -- especially at the moment as the government is apparently trying to prevent foreclosures to prevent the subprime lending issues from completely tanking the economy. It's worth looking into as apparently the earlier you move on something like this, the better the chances of success.
