I also intend on making my window covers with fabric of course, but with bamboo roll-up shades I have at Menards (work there.) and obtain some copper pipe/fittings to apply to the top of it. From there, I'm going to drop beads, glass, stones, rocks, etc.etc. from it. Little pricey, I know. But I think the idea and effect will be quiet proper!

yes, I have seen this, it's very pretty. Also quite time consuming, but a very rewarding outcome.
