Cora Anderson, the widow of Victor Anderson of Feri Tradition, crossed over this Beltane eve at 1am in the company of her family and coven at a hospital in California- the anniversary of their handfasting.  Victor passed away in 2001.

The world is richer for her having lived and made poor by her passing.  May the tears and candlelight of offering ease her journey to rejoin her beloved.

She was hoping to live to their anniversary -- the third -- but the general consensus of the Feris I've seen speak on the subject has been that this way she gets to spend the date with him.

I lit a candle for her at my ancestor shrine.

She was and is much-loved in the Feri community.  While I never met her, I have read some of her published work and, of course, worked with the tradition she helped to found as a seeker.

I'm not a Feri, nor I ever will be. But that tradition (what I was able to learn about it) helped me a lot on my personal path and I highly respect its founders.

I'll light a candle.  Sad

The world is indeed a poorer place for her passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Victor and Cora briefly once long ago when we were all much younger than we are now.

I read a post about this on Thorn's LJ and, although I am not Feri (though I am incredibly fascinated by it), I felt a pang of regret. But the certainty with which Thorn wrote of Victor's being there nearly moved me to tears.

May she find her way to the Summerlands, and may the light of her memory never pass

Oh, how sad, but I hope she is happy and safe now.

A candle is lit in her memory.

Everyone  who does Reclaiming magic knows at least a little Feri poetry and lore. She will be greatly missed around these parts.

Yeah, imagine my surprise when I found out, that I started out once ago with a feri-offspring book: spiral dance. (In those days there were very few good books and even less information about different paths and traditions.) So the circle closed for me (sort of), when I learned more about Feri and realized that my magic start was indeed there.

No wonder it felt all familiar.

Very sad, yet joyous that she rejoins her beloved in the here after. I'll light a candle in honour of her memory.

Rest in peace, Mrs. Anderson.
