I was in Bath this morning with half an hour to spend so I went into the Roman Baths and took a few pictures of the temple and sacred spring. They are not brilliant as it was a spur of the moment decision and I only had my camera phone. If anyone would like to see the pictures they are here

How lovely, the Minotaur-husband was near there years ago and missed the chance to visit.  How he regrets it now!

Nice pics, I must try to go back there sometime.  The last time I visited Bath it wasn't possible to go to the temple.

Well you still can't really see much as most of it is under the main shopping streets. The court yard is accessible and you can see  and get close to the steps up to the Temple itself but that is about it. The sacred spring is viewable and there are a couple of altars that have been relocated  into  the court yard.

This time of year though it is absolutely packed with tour groups and I  now have a  lot of sympathy with Christians who object to ther Cathedrals being swamped with tourists! I probably won't visit much again until the tourist season starts to quieten down.

Thanks for sharing.  It's almost 30 yrs since I was there.  I would love to go back, there are so many places I would like to see and some that I would dearly like to see again.
