Hi guys sorry I havent been on in awhile...been having some problems in life going on. I have a quick question to ask though....My teacher left last Jan. and so I've had to go solitary since then. I was wqondering...I dont ALWAYS have the cash for herbs and stuff for my altar that are required in certain spells i want to work...Does one necessarily HAVE to have herbs and candles and stuff for spells?

I think that depends on the path you follow, some will have very strict traditions other will be loose, and yet others will be in between.

No, I wouldn't necessarily say so. Improvising can work quite well. Search around the kitchen for things like a pinch of salt or dried herb. Also, tealight candles can work quite well. As long as the right intent is behind the spell/ritual, then the rest of it doesn't have to be perfect.

The mental power, focus and passion you put into ritual is far more important and powerful than any object (whether it's a herb, a tool, etc.). At least that's what I think.

Magick is within you....tools are just tools. Just like it would be easier to cut the grass with a mower than by picking off each individual blade, you CAN do it without the mower!
