What hidden cow level?  and I am trying to be good and play with just the game and expansion.  Not gotten into any tips/tricks yet.

You need to complete the game first, then go back to the starting area and use the hordric cube to combine a refrence to the previous game into a portal to the hidden area. On Nightmare mode you get some really silly gear in there.

I did just get to go west (started it a week or so ago) so I am getting to some pretty interesting things now anyway.

Someplace in D2 is a hidden cow level (they all run around saying "moo, moo....moo.....mooo" when you're attacking and killing them) but I can't remember where it's found.  How do I know about it then, you ask?  My little brother has, and has beaten, D2. I've watched him play and watched him destroy the cows.   Cheesy

If I can get ahold of him, I'll ask him where it's at and how ya get there but it may take a while.  Smiley

Spoiler - highlight between the stars
* Combine wirts leg (you can get one from tristrams ruins if you've lost the original) and a tomb of town portal while you are in the rouges camp (act 1) but after beating Diablo (and completeing act 5 if you have it) then go through the portal and kill the cows. the portal closes if you kill the cow King and wont reopen fill you kill the boss at the end of your final act again and complete the recipe again.*

Egalas,

What game are you currently playing and would you recommend it to others?

I don't play many computer games, but I am actually playing something occasionally now:
Anchorhead -- a Lovecraftean text adventure that came out in 1998 that I somehow managed to miss for almost 10 years.

With gaming friends and DH - WoW with expansion.
Otherwise, Civ 4, Civ 3, Diablo II, Final Fantasy XII, NWN2 (with DH), and a LOT of other, older games depending on "mood strikes"

I love Zelda: A Link to the Past - I still have my SNES and the original cartridge, I have been known to plug it in and play an old game through in one weekend afternoon sitting.

I'm a gamer chick through and through, what can I say (my gamer husband's lucky?  Tongue)

Guitar Hero I & II. But mostly II.

BOW BEFORE PANDORA, GODESS OF ROCK!

No prior musical aptitude necessary to be good at and love this game. My husband is proof of this.

This game is so fun, we'll wake up at 8:30 on a Saturday, look at each other and say, "You want to Rock?!" And then we'll end up playing it for like two hours in our pajamas.

I swear we are adults. Swear it.

Well, there's Dreamblade, Dungeons and Dragons, Vampire: the Masquerade...

oh, right.  Computer games.

In a recent replay of Star Wars Rebellion, I completely destroyed the Rebel Alliance in seven hours of gameplay.

I don't get to much into computer/video games any more.  Every once in awhile I'll sit down and play Soul Caliber with my son.  Yes, I get my butt kicked.  I've been playing in a Serenity RPG campaign online for the last year or so.  Since my gaming group evaporated almost a year and a half ago I've been playing via Play-by-Post, essentially a pencil/paper RPG via a message board.

I'm very fond of Kingdom of Loathing- an online game in which the character avatars are all stick figures. It's a very silly game, you can play a sauceror, in which the cyclic goal is to kill the Naughty Sorceress after which you ascend and do it all over again (as a different class and with certain limitations if you wish.)

I'm also a fan of Zelda and have been playing Link on my GBA.

Additionally I've discovered the dangerously addictive nature of Guitar Hero II and am glad it's my Boyfriend's game rather than mine because if I didn't have to go over to his place to play it I'd probably be upstairs playing it now instead of discussing it.

I enjoy Heroes of Might and Magic III, as well as Might and Magic VI (Which are very different games in spite of the similarity in names.) Even though I don't play them much right now I do know I'll go back to them again.

I finally got the Pets pack for this Sims 2 a few days ago.  I'm a big Sim fan so I love it, but quite honestly I'm not sure I'd recommend the Sims 2 ... it's pretty buggy.  I've got at least 60 player-made fixes on it just to keep it operating sanely.

But somehow, this does not keep me from playing it for eight hours at a stretch!  Cheesy  Most of my Sims have more well-rounded lives than I do!

Mine too!  Cheesy

I love Sims though. Addictive like crack  Cheesy

I'll also chime in on WoW. Plus FFXIII is pretty cool. Haven't played a lot of it, but the beginning is neat, if you can get used to the crazy controling the camera with the left analog stick  Undecided

I love KoL!  I've started it twice and haven't managed to kill the Naughty Sorceress.  The last time I got frustrated by consistently getting my butt kicked by the constellations.

It was cool starting it again and seeing how much had changed since I played it last.  Which means at some point I'll surely come back to it...

Otherwise, I play a lot of pen and paper RPGs.  Smiley

Right now replaying the first Syberia game.  I don't quite remember being this crazy about a PC game since Tomb Raider!  Anyway, i'm really taking my time with it because the scenery is so well-done and i could spend hours just staring at it.  Once this is done with, the sequel is next.
