Thanks for the input. We are mixing and mastering this stuff ourselves so any input like this is awesome. Do you have experience engineering music productions?? Thanks again.
I have a buddy Walt who is the master mixer.

I sit and smile while he does his thing. I do what I'm told, watch and hope to learn something.
Walt at Myspace (has songs)Edited to add; "Too Many Dudes" is hilarious!
The last song on his player, "Sprinting Nowhere Through the Air" I'm back up vocals, but our voices are very similar in timbre, so I'm more a phantom voice lending depth. Eventually I'd like to record that one with just me doing both the guitar and vocal tracks - or at least front the guitar tracks and do the lead vocals, but having the kids home for the summer has made getting together difficult at best.
For the most part I'm acoustic, having had some really bad experiences with crummy PA systems, so I freak any time someone tries to attach me to a cord.
He records all of the tracks separately; guitar, drum, vocals - vocals are done separately for lead and backup and any supplementary stuff, like the "oooohs" on Nowhere Through the Air were done by themselves.
His equipment isn't 'new' or anything and at times it takes a few times to get it to do what it's supposed to, but in the end it's a happy thing.
This was the profile for one of his musical endeavors. His new band Delphi Rising doesn't have a page up yet.
Snipe HuntRwandan Blues on this profile is a great song, as is 'You Knock the Stuffing Out Of Me'
My husband refers to him as a 'poor mans Bob Dylan'

He's sort of 'ambivalent' towards Walt though.
