I tend to see things in shades of gray, usually not black and/or white.  I think the answer to your question lies in your answers to a couple  questions.

1) What do you believe is, in terms of Communion.  Is it a symbolic act, or is it the partaking of the actual body and blood of Jesus? (This would also direct which church/sect from whom you took Communion.)  If the actual body and blood, by which means? (Transubstantiation, Consubstantiation, etc.)

2) What is your Intention in taking Communion?   Is it an act of defiance or disrespect?  Is it an act of Empowerment?  Is it an act of Fulfillment/Completion?  ...etc....

Those of Voodoo have for a couple/few centuries often practiced the Catholic faith, fully resolved within their experience with their faith in the Loa (the Voodoo Spirits) ...  I've got a nice story about one very wise Haitian woman's reply to a similar such question on my myspace blog at: http://blog.myspace.com/183120007 ~ it's entitled "Wisdom"

Hello, I was wondering what people think about the possibility of going to and Christian church and taking communion as part of a paradigm shift well being a chaote.  Would it be totally unethical?

I've actually tried it.  I didn't know what I was doing was akin to the thing called chaos magick but I have tried stepping into the head space of Christians in their worship concerts just for the emotional thrill of it.  Since I don't believe in Go there was no harm done.  To me it was all psychological.
