Neilson would love our house.  THe last thing we watched that wasn't video was an Episode of Dr. WHo, (the first of the new seasons) about 4 months ago.  The TV is on alot, but it's all video.

Our TV is only on for about 45 minutes a night to watch a documentary with dinner. Then about the same amount of time Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Our last network watchage was the Belmont back in June. They'd never pick us. Cheesy

Actually, the Nielsen ratings no longer operate that way.
We just mailed back our journal a couple weeks ago.  They even paid us $30.

Nielsen comes to your home, and installs a box that track everything happening on your tv, even if you don't have cable.
Yes, but not in every home.  You would know if they've selected you to be one of their sample homes.

I know a lot of people who usually watch the Olympics don't plan on watching this summer because they're in Beijing. What about you?

I watched the opening ceremonies because my husband did, but that's about all the attention span I have when it comes to sports.   Grin  I have to wonder if the recent murder of the American tourist visiting for the Olympics will have any consequences other than embarrassing the Chinese government.

We were a Nielsen family for a while, and they told us that they no longer did the journals...maybe it was just for our area.

I didn't meant to say it is in every home, just that the technology exists (and Nielsen uses it) to track all shows watched.

apparently some of the oh so fantastic opening fireworks that I didn't watch were faked.  ANother article I read, which I can't find anymore stated that the footprints were faked because they were too dangerous to actually set off.

And the little girl singing lipsynched because the one chosen for her voice wasn't cute enough.  At least Pavoratti was SICK and it was his voice.
