Hello all!

I've been a lurker on here for a bit and finally decided to join.

I'm an IT manager for a small company here and have a photography degree, so I do a bit of that on the side as well.

I was raised as an evangelical Christian and was deeply involved with the church and finally realized it just wasn't for me.  I started researching different religions, as well as different versions of Christianity and finally decided something pagan was for me.  I researched and am still researching the various forms and varieties that paganism has to offer. While trying to decide on a path to start down, I had a sudden urge to go buy some books on wicca, which I did after checking the Cauldron's recommendations first Wink

So as of now I'm reading and learning all I can about wicca.  That pretty much sums it up Smiley.

I was there last summer and I couldn't believe how hot it was. It got to 113 degrees one day. No wonder we got taxis everywhere!

It's almost always at least 110 here during the summer.  Boo for me having a black car!

Did you enjoy Vegas?  If you hated it that's ok, I don't like it all that much hehe.

Welcome to the Cauldron!

I escaped..er moved from Vegas just about 2 years ago. I lived there for 10 years and didn't like it much either.

Maybe there should be a forum for recovering Vegans. Smiley

Hehe I agree, I'm still trying to escape from here!  What part of Vegas did you live in, if that's not being to nosey?

I lived in Henderson just off Boulder Hwy. Closer to Boulder City than the strip. Where are you? (If you want to say Smiley )

My brother and his family lived in Henderson for several years.  While they were in Canada for a visit their home got broken into and badly vandalized.  When it turned out that this was revenge because his then 14 year old son had turned down an 'invitation' to join one of the local gangs he decided it wasn't the place for quiet Canadians to live and ended up moving to North Carolina.

There may be problems there, too, but they've had none and his two oldest kids have kids of their own now.  They've been there for about twelve years, and they don't plan to move again unless it's home to Canada.  My sister-in-laws parents live in Las Vegas and run a business there.

Boulder City is a bit of a drive!  I live over near Summerlin, actually I live right off of the Summerlin Parkway.  I used to live right off the strip as well, it was a neat house built in the 50's.

I got called into work on my day off boo!

Yikes!  I'm sorry about that.  This place is very fast paced and it does wear on you.  I want to go somewhere quiet and where there's not a billion people running into you (I work on the strip).
