Well, I have written plenty of porn as well. But all of my erotica has romance as well. The romance is central to the plot of any of my writings. There's just a lot of sex between the characters and the sex is rather, shall we say, unconventional.

Well, there is such as thing as erotic romance which is essentially a combination of the two genres.  Although unconventional sex may tip it into the direction of erotica.

I've been reading and writing erotic romance for a long time now, as well as regular erotica and porn. And since most of my sex scenes are strictly non-vanilla I should probably send it over to the publishers of erotica; though I have read erotic romance that was non-vanilla. Thing is, none of my characters are completely human, though they may appear as human, they aren't.

I'd seriously suggest looking at Luna books.

Gods know I've seen some WEIRD sex in romance books .. often to my regret.  (what's with having the bad guys explain the plot while having very ugly sex at the same time?  ick).

But Luna is a spinoff of Harlequin - and they're really trying to hit that fantasy/romance crossover.  I've seen non-human or human and non-human romance in there.

It's always worth looking at, y'know?

I think I've read some Luna books in the past.....So thanks for the suggestion! Sometimes you just think that what you've written is just unmarketable.

In fact we all know that feeling.  Sometimes I wonder if my vampire stories would be sell-able once the current vamp craze dies down.
