Ain't it priceless?

Priceless doesn't begin to cover it. It's only marginally more believable than dinos on the ark.

I also want to know why the dinos drowned before the shorter mammals in the flood - if the geologic layers are caused by drowning, wouldn't taller stuff drown later?

and, y'know, drowning fish.  I so love the drowning fish. Cheesy

(note that I have no degree in biology. then again, the average fundie sees people with degrees in that subject as being of the devil so that's a moot point)

Maybe not drowning, but suffocation of some kind?  All that rain water would probably screw with the ocean's salinity and that might kill the fish.

And besides the rain, that would give Noah a reason not to go on the Ark's deck because everything would smell like rotting fish Tongue

Please tell me you're joking.

Sadly, she's not joking. I've heard -- and laughed at -- that argument from creationists.

IIRC, it wasn't the water level but the temperature changes. I think there was an ice age thrown in or something.

How did they come up with the drowining fish?

this is actually specifically DROWNING fish - not logical arguments.

But the geologic record is full of creatures at different levels - and the creationist argument is that they drowned at different rates and therefore they fell into the fossil record at different rates.

HOWEVER - bony fish do not show up until a certain point, and then are found in the record after that point.  Following that logic - they must have drowned then.

They never actually SAY fish drowned, but it's a logical piece of their argument.

*blink*blink*

Now THAT would make a good spoof of some Scifi Original movies I've seen.

*makes note and stashes it in plot ideas file*

*hides under the bed*

I think I'm going imagine koalas with glowing red eyes from now on.  If that is the mating call, I can only imagine a scene it could be used in.

Ya add to that they're claws are long enough and sharp enough to eviscerate a human being if they dang well want to, I'd leave them alone.

As I said to Nigel in pm: I already have a ton of unfinished work already and I'm not going to add to it until I finish a few things.

The killer koalas must remain on my "idea" shelf until my wip shelf gets to be much more vacant.
