I got two wrong as well. I took a folklore class when I was an anthropology major and some of the questions on the quiz were the urban legends that we studied in the class.

I missed three, and am annoyed at myself for missing all three.  The very first question, I knew better and just wasn't thinking; there was one that I went the other direction and way overthought ("OK, that's too outrageous to be true, so it must be false, but truth is stranger than fiction, but then they'd expect me to think that..."); and the third I would've gotten right if I'd paid a little more attention to the Mythbusters episode in which they investigated that myth.  *smacks self upside the head for that one*

I got two wrong:

I missed one. While I've never seen the show, being born in 1957 some of the older stories were circulating when I was a kid which made them easy.

I missed one. While I've never seen the show, being born in 1957 some of the older stories were circulating when I was a kid which made them easy.

I don't think most of the things there were questions about actually have been investigated on the show anyway--just the buried-alive one, and even there the investigation was actually focused on the possibility of survival for a short time (until being dug up) than on whether people got buried alive.  (The answer to the corresponding question on the quiz would have been mentioned in the episode, though, which is why I was smacking myself upside the head--I've seen that one a few times.)

I also recognized several urban legends that were still going around in the late 80's/early 90's when I was a kid, though.

Not too shabby. You're on the verge of becoming the next great buster of myths.

I got three wrong.  The lollipop one, the movies based on killers, and the adoption of cats.

I had heard the story about the "terribly frightening haunted house" before.  I had heard it was in Pontiac, MI, but the fact it was listed in the quiz made me figure it was just an urban legend.

Seems like that question is the one that's messing the most people up.

I actually got that one right, and I'm not sure why, to tell you the truth.  It wasn't one I'd heard before, so it's not that I just knew it...  But it didn't seem that plausible to me for some reason.
