Greetings,

I was wondering if Anyone has suggestions for invoking, inviting, begging, pleading Spring to come and Stay ?

Here it is April 15th, for crying out loud, and we've gotten +8 inches of s**w so far and more to come "they" say.

I keep saying to myself, "this is the way of things. This is how it is"  but a great part of my being has had enough of the white stuff for this year.

The Only plus to a late Spring that i can think of, is perhaps it will cut back on the tent catapillers that did so much damage here in NY.  Small comfort.

Blessings, Mea   (who seems to be whining again. *sigh*)

Greetings,

Oh gosh, I can't even begin to imagine.  I have been dying every weekend that didn't have a without wind temperature of at least fifty.  I hate cold.  I shrivel like a snail on a salt lick.  Hate and cold... I wish there were an emoticon for bitterly hate.

I tried holding off the winter earlier in the season.  Spent my every waking moment begging for warm breezes and balmy air, and all it seemed to do was hold it off making way for a harder winter when it finally set in.

I would say submit to what icy embraces mother nature offers today in hopes that she will get it out of her system and bring the spring.   Gods speed to you.  Goodness knows, if you aren't built weatherproof then you are up against things that are not exactly receptive to desire.

And games are just another way of life
And I'm gonna tell my son to be a prophet of mistakes
Because for every truth there are half a million lies
And I'm gonna lock my son up in a tower
Till he learns to let his hair down far enough to climb outside.

I know what you mean. It just reached 70° for the first time in April where I live. During the end of March, before the cold snap, it was getting above 80° and the plants were budding like crazy. Now everything seems to be wilting and I fear for my flowers. There are only so many pots I can bring into the house and I can’t move the heavy clay planters. My poor poppies…

But I figure that if I ask for favors with the weather that it will only bit me on the other end, so I leave it alone.

Greetings, and Thank You for Your sympathy !

Usually i deal pretty well with Winter.  November, December, Janbrrraury, Febrrruary,  and March.   I'm used to chilly weather in April and most years we have seen flurries on Mothers Day. This year's  wild weather just seems to be hanging on.   By wild weather i mean the heavy accumulating s**w.    We have over a foot of the heaviest all season.     One of DH's canvas buildings that stood up to the valentine's Day blizzard with 36" of s**w, gave way this AM under  the weight of this last batch.

My daffodils were up about three inches. they will survive to bloom at some point.  I'm so thankful that the early flowers can take the weather !!
We have had some different birds at the feeder due to the weather (i think).   A pair of crows have been coming in to grab a snack.  And this AM, we had an Eastern Towhee.  A first for me.

I do believe that Gaia knows what She is doing..... but gee........

Blessings, Mea.
