If I watched horror movies all night I would never emerge from under my bedcovers. I'm the girl who had nightmares about E.T. for five years (...still do sometimes  Embarrassed ).

What creeped you out, exactly.  My memories of E.T. was a harmless family-friendly movie.  Then again, I was twisted even as a child and I probably haven't seen the movie in give or take 15 years.

Yep, that's the response I usually get.

I have to say it's nice to finally have someone who agrees with me in HeartShadow.

Friday, I'm coming home and cooking - our ritual's going to be Saturday, as I'm working (proctoring SAT exams!) Saturday morning/early afternoon.

We're then going to get together Saturday late afternoon. Our Samhain is the one Sabbat in the tradition that's done very similarly year to year, (and this is an agreed on core part of the tradition) - remembering the dead, a dumb supper, etc. I'm probably spending the night at my covenmate's so I don't need to worry about driving afterwards, and we have plans to go do something low-key the next day.

Dianic ritual tomorrow night.  ADF druid ritual Saturday afternoon.  The druid ritual is outside, in a state game area, so it should be interesting.  And cold.

We've been doing some little things with the kids for the past few weeks - made the skull cupcakes, made some dried apple garland for the altar, picked out pictures and momentos for the altar.  It's impossible to do a dumb supper with four little kids, so last night we set an extra place for our loved ones, but put on some fun music and made a meal that my MIL would have liked, and talked about our memories of our loved ones.

Saturday is our main ritual, since we'll be trick or treating tomorrow. We'll be building our Samhain fire, then the kids will write down a bad habit or something they'd like to let go of in the new year and burn it.  Then we're making smores.  O.k., that has nothing to do with Samhain, but you can't have a fire here without smores.  We'll leave some out for the fae, and then I will do my solitary ritual around the fire after the kids go to bed.

I'm going to the local OTO body's ritual on Friday.  My beloved and I are doing our ritual on Saturday, but we don't quite know what that'll entail yet.

Coven stuff all day Saturday. We've got some workshops going on, and I'm not sure what the focus of the main ritual is this year. Halloween night, I'm going to cook up some food for the post-ritual potluck on Saturday, hide from the trick-or-treaters, and relax, I think.

Taking the little one out trick or treating and then watching Ghost Hunters live. They are only over in DE this year! Yay!
