Although we might have thoughts along those lines if anyone suggests celebrating Hitler's birthday...

LOL!  Yea, definitely not something I would suggest or, in that case, hope no one would suggest it.

I didn't know whether the YA was a negative target... I guess it was a misunderstanding of Sperran's post.

If there's enough interest for one, I think that'd be a good idea.

I can't speak for Sperran, but I did have much the same thought she expressed and considered making a similar post.  If I had, my intent would have been to indicate that I kind of felt like a YA folder was redundant, because to me YA meant teen and we already had a teen folder.  Not that YA was a negative target.  Smiley

I'm going to rename the thread so that it's more likely to catch the eye of those who might be interested.

Its not so much a matter of voting (although interest helps) as someone coming forward to do the work.  We've had a situation before when people expressed an interest in a particular SIG, but none of the interested parties would/could take the responsibility of managing the SIG.

I would volunteer to do whatever I need to do if there is enough interest... It would also give me some extra help because I am starting a Pagan Society group on campus hopefully in the next semester or the one after. So, whatever needs to be done, let me know... Even if it is just participating... Grin

It is quite catchy, Star! Like the change. Wink

No, I didn't think it was negative.  I just felt like the "YA" label didn't capture what the OP wanted to address.

I have no problem with celebrating Hitler's birthday. I just don't think anyone who would suggest it would approve of any ways I might choose to celebrate it: perhaps, a nice bonfire to burn him in effigy along with any Neo-Nazi-types who object to my "celebration."

I just got a VERY inappropriate thought in my head from reading this that is best not to say out loud.

But in other thing to do at this hypothetical party: How about a game of Pin the Knife to the Nazi Effigy?

I think you'd have to do that on the anniversary of the Night of the Long Knives...

Oh yeah, I guess that would make more sense.  What about a pinata in the shape of Hitler's head?  Instead of candy, it could be filled with noodles to simulate brains Cheesy
