I have no problem with celebrating Hitler's birthday.

Neither does the stoner community. Wink

I would volunteer to do whatever I need to do if there is enough interest...

Ditto. If there's enough interest to start a College Pagans SIG I volunteer to manage/moderate/whatever is needed.

I have no problem with celebrating Hitler's birthday. I just don't think anyone who would suggest it would approve of any ways I might choose to celebrate it: perhaps, a nice bonfire to burn him in effigy along with any Neo-Nazi-types who object to my "celebration."

My oldest was due on April 20th.  I had specific orders from one of my patients at the time to not have him on that day.  The man and his wife were Dutch.  Victor was born on the 19th.  So I got to watch Waco burn while I was throwing up from the morphine instead.

If there is enough interest, I will definitely remember you have volunteered!  Thank you!

I was wondering... Since we have a Teen section, why not a section for Young Adults?

College life is way different than Teen life and our classes are way different...

This is just a suggestion, but thought I would put it up for thought.

So, did this SIG idea end up going anywhere? I was looking through the forum and found this post and thought it was a good idea. Considering I'm going to be going to college in the next year or two I thought it would be great, especially for those more solidified in their faith and dealing with high loads of school work, and trying to cope with that.

We never had a clear indication if there was enough interest. How many people are interested?

I guess I'm kinda interested. I don't know how much traffic it would get, but there is certainly a degree to which what traffic it would get doesn't fit well anywhere else: they're not "teen" issues anymore, but they are specific to a particular stage in life.

I'd also be interested -- I was a Pagan in college, and I can also give advice from the professors' end, regarding research, talking to faculty, etc.

I think we'll go ahead a start one. I'll try to do it this weekend.

You are one of the people who volunteered to help moderate it, so I'm not sure you really want to thank me.  Shocked

If I had more time, I would volunteer.

This is such an incredibly malleable time of life, when young people are learning how to search for ideas and meaning, I think it would be a wonderful thing to set up for them.

Gods know I was desperate for mentoring when I was in college.
