LOL.  Yeah.

Aset though is associated with the sow (both as a caretaker of children and as an eater of her young).  While I was listing this on asetnet, I first wrote pig and I got this...that's not it, from Aset.  She seemed very particular (heh, when isn't She?) about it being the female pig she's associated with; and maybe, this is my guess that because Set is associated with the male one.

I believe a few other Netjer like pork.  I just don't know who they are.  Ohhh, I thought of one.  Sobek!

Anpu is okay with pork as well. And the funny thing is, I belong to Set, Anpu and I do speak with Sobek on occasion (He is my strength when I'm afraid,  dunno why). And I don't eat pork out of respect to Aset, who showed me to my path. I am not Hers, but I don't want to disrespect Her. So while the boys are clamoring for a pork meal to be shared, I have been putting them off. That may change, but for now...*shrugs*

Huh.

I would not see the problem with eating pork with Set or Yinepu or Sobek.

I would see the "get that off my shrine" with Aset or with the pork itself rotting.  *grin*
But as you said you are not specifically Hers, I do not see the problem with you eating it.  I know of other devotees of Aset who eat pork for offerings to other Netjer, but not for or near Aset.

YMMV
