What is the policy on posting material you've posted on another forum? I have a question I've posted elsewhere and would like to post it here to get additional input.

I'm Not interested in spamming the board by posting and then leaving, I'd like to discuss the question with other board members.

As long as you're not advertising anything and it's your own material, you should be fine.  Lectures cross-posted from other boards don't generally get good reception here (though they won't typically get you warned/gagged/banned either), but it doesn't sound like that's what you're trying to do.  Smiley  If you're in any doubt, feel free to PM me a copy of what you want to post and I'll be happy to take a look at it and let you know for sure.  It really sounds like you'll probably be OK, though.

Not a rules issue as such, but it's also nice if you take part in the threads you start.  I particularly recall one poster who turned out to cross-post the same question to...well, a LOT of forums, but never contributed to the threads he had started.  But, like Star, I don't get the impression that that's what is going on here.

Could the same reasoning be applied to a blog that we post on here and want to post it on another blog that we have? I have a WordPress blog and would like to post one of my entries here on there...

You wrote it, you owe it and can do whatever else you want with it. You don't need our permission. Smiley  The rights you give us are merely the permanent right to use it on our websites, newsletters, and the like. The point of the clause is to prevent people from leaving in a huff and demanding we take every thing they ever wrote down.

Ah, okay. Makes a lot of sense to have the clause up because of that reason.

Thanks. Smiley

Heh... it's a sign of adjustment to Cauldron culture - you get so you read Randallisms as if they said what they were intended to say.

Would that make that a Sunflowerism?

I don't think so...  It's a phrase that makes sense to me as written, at least.
