Does anyone know anything about fairy dust. Where online can I get some? How would I use it?

Welcome to the Cauldron.

The only fairy dust I've ever heard of (outside of the stuff Tink throws around in Peter Pan, which is obviously fictional) is cosmetic glitter, but I'm not sure that's what you're talking about.  (If only because in that case the answer to "how would I use it" would be to dust it on whatever part of you you wanted to be glittery...  Also, that sort of fairy dust seems like an odd thing to be looking for in this space.)  Could you be a little more specific about what you're looking for?

I use fairy dust for my paintings and scrap-booking.  It is a very, very fine powdered glitter and those are the only uses I know of for them.

How would I use it?

At the bike shop I used to work at one of the mechanics claimed sprinkling fairy dust on bikes would make them work properly.  Or maybe it was angel dust....

Funny that this statement makes the OMGs references to fairy dust make much more sense.

To the OP: Have you tried glitter?

It's glitter.
Some use it in ritual settings - like blowing it to the winds or something like that.

As others have said, it is a very fine glitter than some people like to use in spells and rituals.

Most soap making suppliers carry it.

I suppose we need to define Fairy Dust here.  Most people seem to be talking about commericially manufactured glitter. My mother used to sprinkle that around after a vistit from the tooth fairy. (Fond memories there   Smiley)

But, as more of a nature based person, I don't use glitter. For me it contains no magical properties at all as far as spell work goes. However, I know others will not feel the same on that. If something called for a shimmery dust I think I would rather use good old salt or minerals or even sugar which can be obtained in a wide variety of colors. My own concoction is to take a feather and cut into teeny tiny little bits (Isis powder).  The color and energy depend on the type of bird the feather came from.

Those are just my natural alternatives to the commercial stuff. Not as pretty I suppose, but good for spell work.

Hmm... I'm going to have to keep that in mind!

You could also use different herbs and plants of a variety of colors as well. Smiley
