To me, magic comes from yourself and nature. If you use something to better you or your life or those around you, to me that's empowerment. This is just my take on the things that I've learned so far.

Ok, I understand your point a bit better now, I think. Smiley  In terms of religion, it can have aims other than empowerment, but I'll leave that to the side.  If you wanted to know about this from a Chaote perspective, Chaotes would not generally view magic as coming from nature (although I suppose some might.  I could be splitting hairs, but I'd just see it as part of reality).  That said, the Will does come from the self, so I'm probably saying about the same thing as you.  Also from a Chaote perspective, morality is relative, so not all the rituals are about bettering yourself or others. Wink
