With the change of season fast approaching, it's time to consider what we want to accomplish during the next three months.  For those who have participated before, you know the drill.

If you're new to the To Do List, it's quite simple.  Just post a list of things you hope to accomplish between Solistice and Equinox, periodically post progress updates, and have a good time in the process.  Feel free to post your list before December 21st, but save updates for after the season begins.

Someone (Finn? Me? Bueller? Bueller?) will keep a tally of the group's stats throughout the season.  Feel free to track your own stats here...or not.  It's all up to you.  So if you're ready, here we go!

2. Let my friend, Kitsune, read my 2008 NaNo.

Whee!

1.  Keep with my current exercise DVD for 30 sessions.  (Some of these will be accomplished before the season technically starts.)

2.  Re-reduce weight to 180 and keep it there throughout the season.  (For reference:  from 184.  Not a huge drop, just rectifying the fact that I'm gaining some of my previously-lost weight back.)

3.  Finish my novel!  (Well, I mean, the first draft.)

I think that's it for now.  I'm trying, again, not to make a huge list.  #1 will probably get replaced when I get through it, but for now I'm just sticking to that.  Smiley

Well let's see... This is my first shot at this, hopefully I'll do okay. Wink

1. Lose 2 pounds a week-reach first goal mid Jan. My second goal's weigh in is 3 days after Equinox, but I want to be right at it. Smiley

2. Exercise everyday. Doesn't matter if I go to the gym, or just do crunches at home.

3. DO more with my spirituality. I need to get more into the doing about, than just reading about. Put some of the things I've read about and liked into practice.

4. Relax and take time for myself.

I think those are the main ones I want to work on. I'm afraid that if I load more onto here, I won't be able to get any of them done.

Practicing...? No, experiencing Spiritual ADD for 20+ years...yeah that's it... sigh. Wink

1. Get my room clean.

I totally swear I'm going to get it done this season. I've already packed away a lot of my clothes. Now I just need bins and garbage bags!  Cheesy

It's a rainy Sunday morning here in my little corner of the world, a good time to update.

Financial/Work/Icky Grown-up Stuff:
1. Reduce personal debt by 10%. - Nothing yet.
2. Set aside money from every paycheck for spring trip. - Starting this one with the first check of the season later this week.
3. Find a new place to live. - If this happens, it won't be until at February or March.

Creativity Abounds:
1. Write, write, and write some more. - There's a new story in the works already and I've been trying to blog this week.
2. Let my friend, Kitsune, read my 2008 NaNo.- Done.  It apparently made her laugh...a lot.  That goodness it was meant to have a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor or I might have been upset.  Cheesy
3. Find at least one creative person IRL to blog about. - Nothing yet. Any creative types out there who want a free plug on my blog?

Spiritual Stuff:
1. Update the altar for the season. - Done! I've even laid out everything I need for this week's planned workings.
2. Work on digital version of herbal. - Nothing yet.
3. Post more Path-Forging entries on spirituality blog. - New entry added this week.

Health-Related:
1. Lose one pound per week and keep it off. -So far, so good.
2. Go to the gym at least once a week. - I went yesterday to get my membership card and take a tour. I'm so excited.  Saunas, treadmills, and free yoga classes, oh my!
3. Participate in team weight loss program at work. - I'm signed up, have my team, and am just waiting for the program to start on the 5th.

By my count, that's 12 goals with 2 completed, and 0 failed.

Never done this before, so didn't realize I was supposed to post my list before solstice. I hope it's okay that I'm jumping in late.

Career! Which is not to say money, because I am an artist. Wink
1. Finish and publish Bellica by February.
2. Work on getting accepted as model at a certain company.
3. After finishing Bellica start writing more on The Man of Bronze.
4. Don't mess up with stage-managing Vagina Monologues (ie, get a good recommendation and have something worth putting on my resume).

School
1. Another four-A semester, at least.
2. Pass History this time around.
3. Get my books before classes start. Maybe? (Depending on when my loan comes in of course.)

Body/Mind/Spirit/Wallet
1. Work on getting rid of the Buddha Belly.
2. Get my next two tattoos in January (presumably when my tattoo-artist friend comes to visit me).
3. Go to the school gym regularly. (My gods, Morag, the membership is free -- what are you waiting for? Aside from the campus to open again.)
4. Get rid of stuff/stop being such a packrat. (Following that, become more tidy. Hard to do with this much stuff.)
5. Get a job. Make money.
6. See a psychologist.
7. Go to the dental clinic.
8. Work on getting that Mac.
9. Put away enough money for Witchcamp and possibly Dragon*Con.
10. Get car fixed and re-insured.
11. Read more books; donate ones I don't wish to keep to Literacy Nanaimo.
12. Get snow clothing.

Staving off Depression (fun stuff!)
1. Spend more time with friends (so long as homework/etc is done).
2. Watch season two of Battlestar Galactica (after Bryce gets it, of course).
3. Watch through every movie I haven't seen in my DVD library.
4. Make friends watch every movie they haven't seen.
5. Go to the outdoor drug-free rave party thing in February.
6. Complete Final Fantasy VII.
7. Finish FFX (again) and then FFX-2, provided the latter gets mailed to me (ex still has my stuff).

26 Goals! If I complete 10 'twill be a victory. Smiley

Yes! However I don't really have much, aside from my writer's website, my livejournal, and my other LJ full of random snippets of prose and poetry. Is that enough?

Yes!

Woohoo... a couple of victims creative souls.  Cheesy  I'll PM you both with details.

However I don't really have much, aside from my writer's website, my livejournal, and my other LJ full of random snippets of prose and poetry. Is that enough?

Simply having a creative streak is enough to get you a blog entry; you needn't be prolific or a professional, just passionate about what you create.  I usually set it up with a little q&a, something representative of the person's work (pics for visual artisans, quotations or passages for writers/poets), and links of where to the find the person's work, and anything else you want to include.

It's more than okay, it's expected.  Cheesy  The posting starts before solstice so that those who are ready can post their lists and have it out of the way.  The rest of us trail along behind as we find the topic or remember to post to it.  In any case, new lists are always welcome.
