Really interesting quiz about energy and resource consumption. My  carbon footprint was relatively low, for an american, but we really fell down on goods consumption.

Very interesting, indeed. I fell below the average on three out of four (dead on the average w/r/t food). The fourth category (goods and services) I scored only 7.4, where the average is 57. I was pleased to see that, anyway.

My food footprint is 124.6, the national average is 65.7. And according this thing, if everyone was to live like I did we would need 6.5 earths. And my total footprint was 252.03

Unfortunately, there are questions that I just didn't know (like the percentage of electricity question on the second page) or don't apply (how many miles I drive in a year when I've only had my license for less than that time) so I couldn't finish it because it would probably be off. Sad

Yeah, there were things I didn't know.  And the fact that I am attending college and don't know what my family does when I'm away doesn't help.  I estimated, and it said I needed 3.7 planets.

My total is 248.81 and my family dominates america in the food department lol.  Also it will take 6.41 earths if everyone lived like my family.

Retook it guessing the best I can, but it looks like we would need 4.55 Earths if everyone lived like me.

Oh and I think my total carbon footprint is 176.62 and I fell below the average for all of the categories except food.

Really interesting quiz about energy and resource consumption. My  carbon footprint was relatively low, for an american, but we really fell down on goods consumption.

Some of these were hard for me to answer accurately.  For example, in the summer time, we get almost all of our produce from the garden or the local fruit stand.  In the winter time, we rely much more on the grocery store.  Also, my family is not completely vegetarian but we only eat meat about once a week and typically have small portions.  What does that make me?  Omnivore light?  Vegetarian plus?

Ditto.  My household is a multi-generational extended family living in a house built in the 1940s out of whatever scrap and recycled materials were available.  And, as Sperran mentioned, our produce buying options change with the seasons.

Nevertheless, it's a thought-provoking quiz.

2.08... not sure how it's so low. Still too high though.

Lol, yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking, and in line with the title of the thread.  It's odd that we are proud of ourselves for thinking that we live in such a way that we "only need 2 Earths" to sustain us.  Much less the 3, 4, 5, etc. needed for some of us.
