Well then wake up earlier than I do so you can answer them Tongue

LOL.  I'm probably up earlier than you (5AM), but on a work day, I'm lucky if I can get to the net before 6PM.  Darn my employer for expecting me to be productive at work!

On days I'm at school, I wake up at 7.  So, yeah you are up earlier than I am.  I'm probably more functional at that time, though Cheesy

Since I'm not a morning person, I'm pretty certain that's the case!

She reminds me a bit of early Sarah McLaughlin.

I liked the samples enough to spend part of an outstanding iTunes gift card on the CD, and loaded it onto my iPod this morning.  I think my Pod is getting sentient again; "Almost Lover" came on, and I was listening to it thinking about what you'd said here, and then the next song the shuffle brought up was...  "Vox".  Which is about as early Sarah McLachlan as you get.  LOL

I see (well, hear) what you're saying here, but I've come to the conclusion that the reason I'm having trouble pinning down who she reminds me of is that it isn't one person.  At times it's Sarah McLachlan; at times it's Karin Bergquist (of Over the Rhine); at times it's Tiffany Arbuckle (Plumb); at times it's bits and pieces of other female vocalists that I haven't quite identified yet.  All good, though.  Wink

www.myspace.com/sjtuckerskinnywhitechick  SJ is fun.  Is she "lesser" known?  She deserves to be better known, that's for sure.  She puts on a great concert and she's personable, too.  Buy her CDs.  She's just had to have major surgery, and like most musicians, no insurance.  Note: she's not out begging for help, but if I get a chance to help promote her work and help her get those bills paid, I'm there.  I know where she's at with this situation, being in much the same boat myself.

www.myspace.com/revelmoon  I haven't seen them in concert, but their music is good and their lead singer is a smart, witty woman whose posts to LiveJournal are worth reading.

Much of what I regularly listen to is from small bands, but I won't clutter up this post with a massive list.
