I was just curious to hear from teens that have been "thwapped" by, hold a relationship with, honor/worship a deity.

If you were 'thwapped', how did it happen? Were you scared at all?

What's the relationship like? How do you honor them?

How are they specifically relevant to your life right now with school and what not?

scared at all?

Hmm.. I'm not sure how to put this in words. I am very close with the Goddess Artemis and she was in and with me ever since. I remember how much I loved going outside and running around. I had a huge fondness for animals and I always wanted an animal companion. I was also one huge feminist and tomboy. I would tell my parents and declare I'll never get marry and that I will dedicate my life saving the Earth and animals. (I became vegan before I started the path) When my mother finally allowed me to adopt a cat last year, I befriended a silver grayish kitten in the animal hospital. She was born on April, just like me, and on Friday. Coincidence? It seems we were meant to be together haha. Silver is also a sacred color of the Goddess Smiley

I figured Artemis was my Goddess when I had these dreams. One was a crescent moon and the sun was rising while I was just gazing. The other one was when I was stargazing and the stars connected an image of a stag. It wasn't a scary experience, more like the best moment of my life.

I got thwapped (I think?) as a teen! Do I still count? Cheesy

Ultimately, it was a bit weird, but it was also a very normal process. He just kind of seemed to invade everything. And I was already a Not Normal kid, who was into everything under the sun which just so happened to develop while I was attending a Catholic school.

I'm not sure if I was ever afraid, but I remember it always being creepy when all of a sudden "Wham! Dionysos imagery!" just out of no where. Then again the same might be said of any newbie on the pagan path. Smiley

How do I honour Him? Uhh... well thats the complicated part at the moment. I'm still trying to get into a regular practice while trying to overcome my fear of apparently doing ritual. I haven't quite figured that part out yet. :S

I am Wiccan, and so believe in the God and Goddess, but my special god is one form of the God: Dionysos. I was "thwapped" by him when he gave me the gift of ecstasy. I mean the altered state of consciousness, not the drug. I was suddenly given this one day and ever since, I have relinquished all negativity and my life has become total happiness. It was through this that I learned my destiny, I am to set an example and help people find their happiness. When the time comes for me to die, he will come to me and make me part of his energy, infinite bliss.

So to answer your question, it was not scary at all; in fact, it was beautiful.
