I just would like to ask that people send some positive energy to everyone involved in this. Monday I believe it was, a manager was shot and killed at a homeless shelter I volunteer at by one of the clients, possibly over the fact that he was getting kicked out for some reason. I just would like to ask for positive energy and prayers especially for the family, as well as the clients, employees, and volunteers at the shelter. This place is amazing; there's so many free services and so many caring people. I volunteer at the part that helps people get jobs. I didn't know anyone involved, but it is very jarring for everyone (even those who did not know the manager or client) and it really reduces the sense of security. It's in a bad part of town already, and this only heightens the fear. I myself hope I can get past that fear when I go to volunteer tomorrow. So please pray that it does not reduce our effectiveness and that everyone (me included) can continue to help out without fear, though perhaps more caution. Also that they find appropriate security systems to prevent another incident. I personally would like to see metal detectors, but that's not the point this soon... So yeah, if anyone could just consider us all in your thoughts.

PM me if you like! I would love to meet other pagans in my area (AZ)... I am basically neo-pagan with a tendency towards eclectic wicca, but I am open to anybody!

How awful, all the volunteers and the family and friends of the manager will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow.  How incredibly tragic.  I am sorry for your loss and I hope your shelter gets what they need.

I'm so sorry. What a terrible to not only the shelter, but to all those that this person helped and knew. I will say a prayer for him, family, and friends.
