Which raises another question for me:  Do you (the general you, for anyone who wants to answer) see divination as a type of magic?  Or as something else?

I use tarot cards as magical tools on occasion, but I don't see tarot divination as magic. Magic is bending the forces of nature to an outcome you desire. Divination is receiving messages about possible futures from the universe. If you're only using divination to see what you want to see, then I don't really think you're divining anything.

'Where the future has been and the unknown is seen'

May I borrow this?  Actually, may I take and keep it?  It fits perfectly with the spell I was describing.

It's interesting that so many people (here, anyway) don't sense Brighid's involvement in their divination.  I wonder where the idea came from originally.  Somebody's UPG, I'm sure, but I've seen it multiple times.

I'm definitely part of the group of people who haven't felt Her involvement in divination, but I also don't do very much divination.

I know this thread is a little old, but I wanted to let those who are curious know there is a (short) chapter on Brighid and foretelling of the future in Sean O Duinn's Rites of Brighid.

Apparently the practice of divination is more associated with the holiday of Imbolc than Brighid herself, but he describes a few stories of Brighid's own predictions and her visions.
