I'm interested in expanding my understanding of Brighid by getting into the Scottish lore about Her.  I'm quite familiar with the Carmina Gadelica material and the basic stories linking Her and Beara (aka Cailleach Beara), but I'm not sure where to look for anything else.  I'm especially interested in academic sources, as I already know where to find the folklore and stories (hurray for CELT and Sacred Texts!  Cheesy ).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Carmina Gadelica

I cant help but I am confused on this too, since both Brighid and Cailleach call to me, and I dont know how to go about it.  I cant seem to find very many sources to confirm anything!  I read that some traditions say it was a trasformation and some it was a handing over for the season....  but no matter how much I look I get nowhere!  I am very interested in any Scottish sources because I lean that way in my practice (I just dont feel like there is enough to do a Scot ONLY)
