The season is getting ready to change yet again, so you know all know what that means: It's time to come up with that list of a new list of goals.

Those who have done this before know what to do!

If you're new to these threads and want to participate, go ahead and post your goals for the coming season on this thread.  Periodically update that list, crossing off what's complete, scrapping what has become impossible or impratical, reporting progress, and adding new goals as you like.

I've never participated in this before, being generally content with my flaws, but I have a couple of things I need to work on.  Time to take some baby steps out of my laziness towards adult-type responsibility.

1.  Get my sugar under 7 and keep it there.
2.  Lose 15-20 pounds over the next few months.
3.  Take regular walks outside now that the snow's mostly gone and the temps are up.

That's enough to start with.  Don't want to overwhelm myself with change. Cheesy

Come on, you know I have to have something on my list that's static.  I mean, in the summer and after next fall (hopefully) there will be no more academic goals.  Sure I have writing related goals, but they tend to change depending on season (ie: Script Frenzy and NaNo) or whatever my current WIP is.  And the health goals come and go depending if I fell I need them.  So other than reading a book, no murder is all I got to work with Grin

The season is getting ready to change yet again, so you know all know what that means: It's time to come up with that list of a new list of goals.

Food production:

1.  Get new, much larger garden bed up and running.
2.  Plant, tend, and transplant seed starts (partially complete already)
3.  Carefully tend and weed said bed.
4.  Harvest and preserve all the food therefrom.

Cob building:

1.  Finish walls (almost complete)
2.  Begin working on built-in furniture
3.  Plastering/inside finish work
4.  Floor (including deciding on the type, which will likely be determined by remaining building season)

Health:

1.  Keep up with exercise routine (doing pretty well so far)
2.  Check in regularly with doc (hate going to the doc) about thyroid/medication changes/asthma
3.  Eat lotsa veggies
4.  Eat less crap

Other:

1.  Check in with friends more often (got kinda hermity over the winter)
2.  Declutter (including sending a painful-but-tactful message to friends about how their "cute little gifts" are cluttering up my life)
3.  Throw more parties!

I'm sticking with the "small list" idea...  and this season's list is going to look an awful lot like last season's.

1.  Do 15 sessions with new ballet-workout exercise DVD.
2.  Do 15 sessions with back care yoga DVD.
(I will already have gotten a start on these by the time the season starts.  In addition, I'll carry over any exercise-video-related goals from Season 1 that I don't accomplish by the equinox.  As with S1, these will rotate as I work my way through various videos in an effort to keep my exercise program varied.)

3.  Finish.  My.  Novel.  From.  NaNoWriMo 2008.  The sad truth here is that I'm SO CLOSE, but I've gotten bored with it.  I feel like giving up now is sort of silly...  I hope to actually get this one done before the season change, but I'm being realistic and putting it on the list for Season 2 anyway, because as little as I've done on it lately?  ...Yeah, I'm doubtful.

4.  On a more lighthearted note, watch Buffy through the middle of season 4.  The eventual goal is to go through the whole series--I've never seen S5-7, and while I understand those seasons are kind of crap, I'd still like to at least catch up with the rest of the world and actually see for myself.  I think mid-S4 is about as far as I'm going to get before the solstice, though.

I want to put a work goal in here too, having to do with progress on my current project, but I'm not sure quite how to phrase it yet, so it's going to have to wait just a little before being added to the list.

I'm changing this just slightly, because I just looked up and realized that this is the last week for Season 1 and I'm probably not going to get those exercise-video things done quite by the end of the season...  so I'll go ahead and carry them over after all.

Exercise videos:
1.  Do 15 sessions with new ballet-workout exercise DVD.
2.  Do 15 sessions with back care yoga DVD.
3.  Do 15 sessions with 10 Minute Latin Dance Mix cardio DVD.
4.  Do 15 sessions with 10-Minute Solution (original flavor) exercise DVD.

5.  Finish.  My.  Novel.  From.  NaNoWriMo 2008.

6.  Watch Buffy through the middle of S4 ("Doomed").

7.  (Insert as-yet-vague work goal here.)
