The season is getting ready to change yet again, so you know all know what that means: It's time to come up with that list of a new list of goals.

Those who have done this before know what to do!

Moving related:

1. Don't kill any of the "help" when I move.
2. Unpack boxes.  I refuse to have unopened boxes sitting around for more than a month this time. (I still have boxes from two years ago.)

Health:

3. Doctor's appointment. (I positively HATE medical anything.)
4. Exercise three days or more a week.
5. Lose 5 pounds. (Or some inches.  I'm actually more interested in inches than pounds, but 5 pounds is a modest goal for a season so we'll give it a shot.)

Household/Family:

6. Birthday gifts bought and wrapped.

Crafty stuff:

7. Finish 2 sewing projects.
8. Start wedding gift for mom.

I hope that's all of them for now.  Smiley

Let's see if I can get a higher number accomplished this go 'round! Wink

1a. Meet second goal by 4/6
1b. Meet third goal by 6/8

2. Move the bulbs that mysteriously appeared out of garden area.  Roll Eyes

3. Get flowerbed and garden borders laid.

2.  Declutter (including sending a painful-but-tactful message to friends about how their "cute little gifts" are cluttering up my life)

Brina

I did that a few years ago.  I stated that I was trying to declutter my life and while I appreciate their thoughtfulness, I would appreciate consumables and organizing items instead of bric-a-brac.  I got food gifts, great baskets and nobody was offended, which was cool.

I need to do it again, though, because it wears off like cheap perfume.  Eventually you need to tell them again that you are trying to keep your life minimal impact.  I love the gifts I get from my MILs though.  Mom always gets me something useful and Dar sends warm things.  This year was blankets.  She sends ONE gift, maybe two, and the second is a practical, consumable something.  Scrubbies for the dishes, bath puffs, lightweight, small items that are going to be used and not clutter up your house with crap you have to dust.

If you're new to these threads and want to participate, go ahead and post your goals for the coming season on this thread.  Periodically update that list, crossing off what's complete, scrapping what has become impossible or impratical, reporting progress, and adding new goals as you like.

It's the busiest time outdoors this season - so for the garden;

1) Set up two more square foot beds and fill them with compost and veggies
2) Weed the flowerbeds
3) Make notes of any bare spots during the bulb blooming, for filling this autumn.
4) Sow and put out in pots various annuals, tomatoes, cucumbers and squash.

For work;
1) Keep my eye out for something closer to where we live, but otherwise do the best I can with what I've got.
2) Get the taxes for my astrology business done.

For home and family;
1) Keep to the budget, stay on top of accounts
2) Stick to the routines
3) Remember to show 'em love, encouragement and understanding

For me;
1) Some sort of exercise every day - yoga, indoor bike, go for a walk, errands, or a work day at the store.
2) Be nice to me when I miss something
3) Something artsy every day - like drawing or singing (even if noone but the Gods would want to listen to it!)
4) Don't overwhelm myself with impossible todo lists

2.  Make two dozen pair of earrings to be sold at the flea market this Summer

Personal
1.  Complete the editing on my second book of poems and self publish
2.  Lose ten more pounds

Career:
Get one. LOLOL
Seriously: Spend one hour Monday through Friday on the "job search" front. This includes using search engines, signing up at job sites, and emailing possible employers. (If it spills into a second hour, that's a good thing.)

Health/Fitness:
Walk two miles every day. (Started this Saturday, actually.)
Drink at least 2 quarts of water daily.
Limit caffeine to 3 cups of coffee daily. (The pain of the headaches isn't worth the moral superiority I'd be able to claim if I were to quit completely, IME.)
Increase my fruit/veggie intake by 2 servings/day and keep it there. (I've been very very bad about this. VERY bad.)
Have one lacto-ovo vegetarian day a week. (This will apply only to myself. I can't get the rest to eat veggies once a day, let alone expect them to do without meat!)

Spiritual:
Continue with twice-daily prayer recitations.
Continue with daily readings.

The season is getting ready to change yet again, so you know all know what that means: It's time to come up with that list of a new list of goals.

Here goes nothing... There really isn't much change between my goals this season and last season. Hopefully I'll actually get them done this time around...

1)   Figure out my summer plans.
2)   Exercise!
3)   Keep up a 3.8 GPA.
4)   Read a non-class-related book.
5)   Not kill any of my housemates.
6)   Celebrate the seasons and do at least one tarot reading per week.
7)   Sleep!
Cool   Get to 18,000 words on my story.
9)   Do at least one big crafting project for myself.
10) Go to temple at least every second week.

Given that my life just became uber-complicated out of nowhere, I think putting all my goals in one spot might be a good plan.

Homework:
Do assignment 1 for conference
assignment 2
" 3
" 4
" 5
" 6

Make travel arrangements for conference.

Finish this draft of Curse/Breakpoint.

Enjoy Germany.

Go to conference.

Go to April and May crit groups, read stuff for group and be prepared.

Finish winged pig.

*eyes list* that looks like plenty.
