"Paganism returns to the Holy Land"

Tel Aviv, Israel - Like many other soldiers who took part in the Gaza operation, Omer, 20, occasionally took a few moments to pray, but he did not pray to the Lord of Israel. Omer considers himself pagan, and has sworn allegiance to three ancient gods. During combat, he says they appeared before him, giving him strength during the most arduous moments.

This is great, I'm glad that Paganism has returned to the holy land.

Found it using the sites search function.

Very odd article, but it's Haaretz.

That is interesting.
Guess pagan folk will have a pretty hard time there.

If they can have a gay pride parade, I don't see that pagans would have that much tougher a time. That's why I have trouble with some of the statements by the folks being interviewed. They don't match up with what my friends and relatives tell me about the area.

We've had a couple of active members from Israel in the past. I don't remember either saying anything like what this article says.
