I wish you every success. It's a problem I too often have that I cannot enter into new public situations unless it's for work. It can be really debilitating and isolating. I hope you find whatever it is within yourself that gets you there.
Thanks, I completely relate to what you're saying.  If I had a friend who could go with me I think it would be easier, but I think I need to force myself to get over this and get out and meet people.  I have my homeopathics in my purse and will load up on them just before I get there.

I've been reading a lot about their rituals and it seems like it will be an adventure.  They don't cast a circle and all the rituals I've attended so far have cast a circle.

It's a common thing in Neopaganism. A hang over from Ceremonial influences if you will (along with the 4 quarters and various ritual paraphernalia). Most reconstructionist Celtic paths don’t cast Circles, though I am told that Gaulish ones do?

I'm so glad I went!  What a wonderful group, they were so warm and welcoming.  Not calling quarters was very odd for me and I have to admit I missed it (I really like being in-tune with the elements).  But otherwise, the ritual was so relaxed and moving, I felt very 'at home'.  Sometimes I'm disturbed by all the 'paraphernalia' and mass produced 'objects' that are used in ritual.  My path seems to be drawing me more toward honoring the earth in a more simplistic way.  I'm looking forward to meeting with this group again and learning more.
