Since I feel its necessary, plus to keep those of you who don't really watch, but are curious...
In the Eastern Conference...
Boston Bruins vs Montreal Canadiens
Boston swept the Canadiens in a 4-0 series (which is sad, because of the sharp decline since the All-Star Games, plus this is their 100 year Anniversary)
New York Rangers vs Washington Capitals
The series is currently 3-2 for the Rangers, with the Capitals having gotten a 4-0 shut out two days ago, and are playing Game 6 tomorrow (Sunday).
New Jersey Devils vs Carolina Hurricanes
The Devils are leading the series 3-2, after flip-flopping the past 5 games and Jersey winning yesterday 1-0. Game 6 is being played tomorrow (Sunday).
Pittsburgh Penguins vs Philadelphia Flyers
The Penguins beat the Flyers in a 4-2 series after winning the game today, coming back from a 3-0 deficit to win 5-3 (ouch again).
In the Western Conference...
Anaheim Ducks vs San Jose Sharks
The Ducks are leading the series 3-2, with the Sharks having won today's game 3-2 in overtime. Game 6 will be played Monday.
Detroit Red Wings vs Columbus Blue Jackets
The Red Wings swept the Blue Jackets 4-0. This is the first trip to the playoffs for the Blue Jackets in their entire franchise with rookie goaltender Steve Mason, who made an amazing 10 regular season shut outs. *
Vancouver Canucks vs St. Louis Blues
The Canucks sweep the Blues in a 4-0 series win.
Chicago Blackhawks vs Calgary Flames
The 'Hawks lead the series 3-2 after winning 5-1 over the Flames today. Game 6 will be played Monday.
Time for round 2!!! Wings take on the Ducks and I believe they will win this one. I see Vancouver beating the Blackhawks. That would make a delightful Conference Finals for the West.
