Just something I found in a German forum so I'm not sure how reliable the message is, but it's a sad case if it's true:

A 25-year old Catholic scouts leader was fired because of his pagan beliefs and his openness about them. Then the whole thing got printed in a local newspaper with photo and all (2/4/09):
http://epaper.wochenblatt.de/run.php?untermandant=31&redaktionsDatum=Mittwoch%2004%20Februar%202009&titelname=Passauer%20Woche&kw=06&year=2009

http://www.wochenblatt.de/live/php3/redaktion/ausgabevolltext.php3?untermandant=31&text=1&aktuellbox=Y&id=2178

A months later a person calling himself the father of the young man posted in the pagan forum his son was active and told that his son committed suicide because he couldn't stand being ridiculed in public:
http://www.carookee.com/forum/Magieschule-Lenk/32/Corvus_batavis.24249285.0.01105.html

Of course there's no chance to know if he was only bothered by the awful newspaper article or if he had a whole bunch of other reasons for suicide. The guy was just 25 and looks like some naive newbie. He had years ahead of him to really learn about the Craft or pagan religions. I guess he didn't see this coming the way it did.

May his soul find peace.

I know many of you can't read German and there isn't any translation. I just wanted to share because I found the whole thing so tragic and stupid. And there are some people here who can read a bit German, so maybe someone takes a interest in the case.  Cry

Wow.  How tragic.  It's a shame that people feel the need to belittle others because of their personal issues.

(btw, I think some computers through google or even the computer itself can translate a page into English or other languages.  All you have to do is right click and select translate this page)

I'm not sure how reliable the message is
There's an article confirming his suicide. And one correction: He wasn't a groupleader, but a normal member who assisted with three others. The article mentioned that after he was forced to leave the scouts he also wanted to leave the Catholic church, but got pressure from his family. (Bavaria is a Catholic region in Germany.)

It'll sad. It's a shame people just can't mind their own business instead of making fun of others.
