I use to have a writers group that would meet for the whole day. It always involved large amounts of pastry and sometimes almond cake, but we don't have an Ikea) Cry

But one of them joined the military and the other moved to Detroit. So I am all alone again sigh. More cookies for me.

That's sad to not have an IKEA nearby. Sad   If you like almond cake, you might like the almond treats with chocolate drizzle that I make. I can send the recipe if you want. Smiley

They have been known to cause food comas, so if you end up with a new group, maybe serve them towards the end of your meetings.  Wink

Sounds wonderful! Does it involve baking? I have a new stove that actually works so I can do stuff like that now. I don't know if I'll find a new group but Target recently found out that people in the frozen north have money so maybe Ikea will be next.

It does involve baking, so it's perfect timing to break in that new stove Smiley

Target is great fun as well and just as dangerous to my pocketbook as Ikea Wink   Ikea is Swedish, so they should hopefully realize that people in the colder areas enjoy shopping too... shocking, I know  Grin

Cool I would love the recipe. I have to learn how to bake with an oven that can keep a constant  temp.
