I practice witchcraft, but do not worship any deities, so I am looking for some simple, basic spells which do not incorporate any deities. I new to magick so I don't really want anything too complicated. Also, I am very short on money so I can't exactly go out and buy a bunch of supplies.

If there are any good spells anyone has in mind, that would be a great help. Thanks Smiley

why do you want to do spellwork? Can't recommend spells w/ no intention.

You might look for a copy of Mastering Witchcraft by Paul Huson. It is mainly witchcraft as magic instead of witchcraft as religion.

I never said I have no intention...I very much so do have intentions, such as spells for health, to increase creativity, etc. I only said that I do not worship any deities.

I think what Rose meant is that you did not state your intentions for the spells, which makes it hard to recommend something.  Have you checked out TC's Grimoire?  It has a diverse collection of spells that are not Wiccan-based.  http://www.ecauldron.net/spells/index.php

What was meant Elicia *if I may Rose*, that spells are written with intent. Without knowing your intent *which you didn't mention till now*, hard to offer up some simple spells. A simple spell should take just as much thought and clear intent, as a more complexed one.
Just simpler and quicker to write, as well as manifest.

Perhaps a spell that will aid in growth in the direction your walkng?

thanks Cent and Open Hands Smiley

I would add, if your intention is not extremely specific, and you don't want to work with deities, do you want to work with specific elements, or some other energy or entity? Because if you don't want to directly manipulate or engage with some form of energy, maybe prayer would be more useful to you than spellwork. Just putting your own energy out to the universe is sometimes the most effective thing to do.

I would work on visualization magick.  Some of my best spells have been this kind.

I usually visualize my need coming into action.  Say i wanted a new job for example.  I would "see" my self at my new job.  That job was mine and nobody elses.  Some times i would light a candle for better focus.  But if you get creative with things, you dont need anything but yourself to do magick

When I do magic (which isn't very often) this is the kind of thing that appeals to me most.  It can be extremely helpful, and often has the consequence of bringing unintended or unanticipated answers to a dilemna, which is great when you've no idea what to do Tongue

That's why I usually pray and meditate a lot before I do any major working. It often makes my intention a lot clearer, and/or brings other solutions
