Last August, I made a bottle spell filled with herbs and lay a protection spell around my house and yard. It worked quite well (the worst we had to suffer during Ike was an hour without electricity). Seeing as it's hurricane season again, I was trying to decide whether I should recharge it or just make a new one. Which would be best?

check in with it. It will let you know if it needs to be replaced. It will almost certainly need recharging. I try to remember to recharge my house and property wards a couple of times a year.

I'd probably just recharge it. To be that the whole purpose of setting wards: long term near permanence.

I find that herbs get tired out after a while and need to be given a boost by adding a few fresh herbs to the spell bottle/bag/etc.  You can recharge the protection spell at the same time. I'm not sure from your post how closely the bottle and the house and yard protection work together.

If the herbs are really exhausted, you'll be able to tell, in which case they should be replaced altogether.  I usually scatter the old herbs outside to let them decompose naturally.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Could you explain?

What kind of herbs are used, and what would a person say as they are putting them around the house outside? Thank you
