My opinion only.... as to what I feel from his post. Course one could debate whether someone can actually Read through a post or have first hand knowledge as to what was felt... at the time.

I have no doubt he was hurting. People here tried to help him as best they could based on what he said in his posts. Unfortunately, what he wanted was a spell and most of us felt based on what he said that a spell was not the tool for the job.

I see no entertainment value here or fun....... nor do I see a stupid young man. Just one that reacted to what he felt was point blank or to direct, perhaps even a bitchiness to it.

He called Lyric a childish name.  He may not be an idiot, but he's behaving idiotically.  The guy got a metric ton of good advice which he proceeded to crap all over because it wasn't what he wanted to hear.  Boo freaking hoo.  Do you honestly expect everyone to endlessly hand-hold and cajole, even when someone flouts the rules and behaves like a spoiled brat?

Or feel like they are qualified to offer spell advice.  I took him seriously when he said that he wanted a spell or any other type of help.  I don't work magic, but know a little about unwanted/obsessive thoughts so I gave him the info I felt qualified to talk about.

TC members as a whole have always been straightforward in their discussions, this is nothing new.  Nobody said anything out of line in that thread from what I read and there was a sympathetic, if frank, tone to the conversation.  Even when he started with the comments about being disappointed in posters for their responses and questioning Sperran's presence on the board, I thought folks were quite patient and civil with him.

It's all a matter of perspective, but his responses later were flat out inappropriate no matter how he took the comments, IMO.  I can think of some other pagan boards where he'd be welcomed with ***hugs*** and spell suggestions, no questions asked.  I'm sure he'll be fine.

When you mouth back to the host of a forum, I put it down as stupid. There are faster ways to get kicked out of a forum, but you'd have to really work at it. What went on in the other thread I have no idea about because I've got that folder on ignore, but the reply to me in this thread was stupid. Period.
