It's nearly that time again... time to start a to-do list for the new season.

How this thing works:
1. Post your list of goals to be accomplished during the summer (winter if you're south of the equator).
2. After Solstice (that's June 21st), periodically post updates and progress reports on this thread.
3. I'll try to give progress updates for the entire group of participants every week or two.
4.  The fun ends on the last day of the season, when we'll start a new thread and whole new lists.
5. Have fun and don't get too stressed.

As soon as I figure out how Spring went by so quickly, I'll come up with my list for Summer!  Tongue

    Health Stuff
  • Walk at least three times a week, at least a mile each time.
  • Reduce the amount of meat we're eating significantly.
  • Keep working on yoga.  Do at least one sun salute a day, two on the good days.

    Garden Stuff
  • Keep the garden well tended, weeded, watered and harvested.
Since it is summer, that's it.  The heat is just about on us and if I can manage just this, I'll be thrilled.
[/list]

    Religious Stuff
  • Perform Midsummer Rites and do it well.
  • Write up Lughnassadh ritual.
  • Write up Mabon ritual.
  • Continue PIE and Irish language studies.
  • Create a new, more appropriate altar for Bridget.

    House Stuff
  • Actually break ground and start work on the foundations for the new house before fall.
  • Insulate around the footings of the cabin.
  • Install woodstove in cabin and in trailer (to be reused in new house later)
  • Make repairs to bathroom floor to get us through another year in this house.

It's nearly that time again... time to start a to-do list for the new season.

I am just going to work on two goals because they both require a lot of effort, time and strength.

1.  Start eating gluten-free (I have been very lazy about this and my doctor suspects I have Celiac disease)
2.  Achieve and maintain a stable mood (i have bipolar and so far this year I am having lots of ups and downs due to medication changes).

It's nearly that time again... time to start a to-do list for the new season.

I'm going to stick with the formula that worked for me this season:  exercise goals, writing goal, fun goal.

1a.  Do 15 sessions with The Firm Cardio Dance Fusion exercise DVD.
1b.  Do 15 sessions of 20 minutes or more (excluding balance games) on Wii Fit.
1c.  Do 15 sessions with Prevention Express Butt/Belly/Thighs exercise DVD.
(As before, more goals will be rotated in as these are accomplished.)

2a.  Determine what my NaNoWriMo project this year will be.
2b.  Develop a basic outline to work from.

3.  Watch Buffy through the middle of season 6.  (As with last season, this is really an ongoing thing, the point being to finally finish watching the entire series.)

Total goals:  6

It's my busy season both for my day job and the part-time biz, so I'm keeping my list short this season.

1. Get through busy season at work with sanity intact.
2. Visit best friends in July.
3. Regularly contribute to savings fund for UK trip next year.
4. Decide on subject for this year's NaNo and do any necessary research.
5. Maintain gardens through the summer. Water, weed, and harvest as needed.

It's nearly that time again... time to start a to-do list for the new season.

I'm just going to start out easy this time.

1. Exercise 4-5 times a week. 30-60 mins. per.

2. Unload boxes.

3. Keep yard mowed.

4. Retrieve stuff from my Mom's house. (3 1/2 hour drive away.)

5. Try to keep my murderous impulses in check at work.

I'm so burnt out that's all I want to even think about doing right now.

Well, it didn't take very long to do two things...

1.  Do essay for college admissions  Submitted application and am waiting on results
2.  Clean room before the 23rd
3.  Write up vows
4.  Re-write fm ritual
5.  Read more about Irish Gods.  Going to do more research, but did some reading today!  Learned that by not reading mythologies on Gods, the picture is less clear than it should be.

Very first update of the season...

1a.  Do 15 sessions with The Firm Cardio Dance Fusion exercise DVD.--Currently at 3.
1b.  Do 15 sessions of 20 minutes or more (excluding balance games) on Wii Fit.--Currently at 3.
1c.  Do 15 sessions with Prevention Express Butt/Belly/Thighs exercise DVD.--Currently at... 3, also.

2a.  Determine what my NaNoWriMo project this year will be.--I have a very basic premise, but need to figure out a couple of things before I can say this is done.
2b.  Develop a basic outline to work from.--I have the very most basic of basic outlines, but not enough to count.

3.  Watch Buffy through the middle of season 6.--I'm still just past the middle of S4.

4.  Get back down to 180.--Sigh.  New goal this week.  I'm not that far up, just at 184 (I think; I have no clue how much of that might be water retention), but would like to get it back under control before I go up any farther.

Total goals:  7
Done:  0 (0%)

First progress update for the season:

1. Get through busy season at work with sanity intact. - We have extra, unexpected help through the beginning of July, which means I may not have to work 70 to 80 hour/week.  That is will go a long way toward helping with this goal.
2. Visit best friends in July. - Plans are coming together. Can't wait!
3. Regularly contribute to savings fund for UK trip next year. - My car passed its annual inspection with no repairs required (and therefore, no drain on the wallet).  That means this goal should be no problem.
4. Decide on subject for this year's NaNo and do any necessary research. - Have several ideas, none are particularly good.
5. Maintain gardens through the summer. Water, weed, and harvest as needed. - Started the season with a major harvest of herbs and flowers on a scale that normally doesn't happen until late summer.  However, the wormwood and tansy were both over four feet tall and threatening to take over the world. Note that I said "were".  Grin

Stats, round 1:

Number of participants:10
Number of goals: 66
Goals completed: 0 (As always, we won't include any completed before the season actually started.)

I think a lot of us have scaled back from last season.  Personally, I'll be glad to get more than half my list done this season.
