Health Stuff
  • Walk at least three times a week, at least a mile each time.
So far, not quite so good.  Twice a week at most is what I'm managing due to the heat/humidity.  However, I've been swimming a great deal more, which I believe offsets the lack of walking a bit.
  • Reduce the amount of meat we're eating significantly.
I'm working on it.  We're not eating quite as much meat, though still a fair bit more than I'd like.
  • Keep working on yoga.  Do at least one sun salute a day, two on the good days.
So far, doing great with the yoga.  I've only missed a few days of doing two full sun salutes, and so now I'm going to add some more intense ab work to the menu.
Garden Stuff
  • Keep the garden well tended, weeded, watered and harvested.
Since it is summer, that's it.  The heat is just about on us and if I can manage just this, I'll be thrilled.  Weeding is due again, but I've managed to keep things watered and harvested.
Religious Stuff
  • Perform Midsummer Rites and do it well.
  done
  • Write up Lughnassadh ritual.
  nearly done
  • Write up Mabon ritual.
  in the idea stages
  • Continue PIE and Irish language studies.
nibble nibble at these, lifetime goals
  • Create a new, more appropriate altar for Bridget.
in the idea stages.  I have some interesting ideas that I'm tossing about.  I'll probably be implementing them in the next week or so.
House Stuff
  • Actually break ground and start work on the foundations for the new house before fall.
  • Insulate around the footings of the cabin.
  • Install woodstove in cabin and in trailer (to be reused in new house later)
  • Make repairs to bathroom floor to get us through another year in this house.

All of these are still not done, but now Tim's paychecks are a bit better, so we can start on them!

1. Lose 1-2 pounds per week-- Down 1.4 this week
1a. Meet final goal for weight/fitness
1b. Once met, maintain for rest of season (this might be the hardest part, lol)

2. Make at least 8 (preferably more) day hikes this season, working towards an overnighter the first part of Sept.-- One down, seven to go!

3. Keep up with the weeding/care of herbs and veggies.--So far so good.

4. Figure out if I'm moving. If not, figure out some way to pay bills while being a full time student.--Still up in the air. This may not get figured out until mid to late August

5. Get final arrangements together for trip to Indy the middle of August.--Have to find the rest of a costume and mask for a ball. The rest of the details are pretty much set.

    b. Figure out how I'm going to get there.--I will be flying, no doubt.
    c. Figure out what to do with all this crap I'm not taking with me.--I will be selling/giving away my furniture and most of what I can stand to give away (which is a lot), and either boxing up books and things and checking them onto plane, or shipping them.
2. Ask about getting 4 more hours at current work.--Done.
3. Find a job by season's end.--Yeah yeah yeah.

Brigid's World:
4. Work on novel thirty minutes daily or two hours weekly.--In progress.
5. Read ten five books.--In progress.
6. Crochet two one more toy or one bigger project.--Also in progress.

My World:
7. Go on long walk (5 mi) once a week (if possible).--Have been pretty regular about it.

1. Get through busy season at work with sanity intact. - Failed.
2. Visit best friends in July.  - Done, just got back from a long weekend away, spent with my best friends.
3. Regularly contribute to savings fund for UK trip next year. - In progress.
4. Decide on subject for this year's NaNo and do any necessary research. - I had some time to brainstorm over the weekend and think I have an idea.  Fortunately, there's no research required.  It's not going to be high quality literature, but then again, NaNo never is for me.
5. Maintain gardens through the summer. Water, weed, and harvest as needed. - Twitch.  I was gone for 4 1/2 days.  The morning glories grew another two feet and are trying to take over the side of the house.  On a happier note, I had the first tomatoes and zucchinis from the garden as part of dinner tonight. Yum!

Academic/Career/Money
1. Get a job
2. Talk to guidence counceler about possible new academic path/register for classes -- I talked to one about it, and still trying to figure it out.  I will register for classes tomorrow, maybe.

Creative Goals
1. Write five pages of each current WIP a week
2. Revise first backburner ms for one hour per week
3. Start research for NaNoWriMo

Physical Health Goals
1. Cut back on soda
2. Get back to walking

Mental Health Goals
1. Read at least one book -- I finished the book I started Memorial Day weekend, but since I was already 90 pages in, I will read a play or two and call it even.
2. Explore the historic sites in my area -- In particularly, take Norfolk's Cannonball trail which ties into #2 of the above category
3. Hmmm, isn't there always one goal I always make that goes here?  Oh well, it's probably not important.

Total Goals: 10
Finished Goals: 0.5 (or 5%)

1. Exercise 4-5 times a week. 30-60 mins. per. Been doing the Wii-fit and so far, good to go.

2. Unload boxes. Moved a whole bunch of empty tupperware (and loaded some stuff for storage) out of the bedroom and into the shed.

3. Keep yard mowed. Bought weed-eater line.

4. Retrieve stuff from my Mom's house. (3 1/2 hour drive away.) Not happening until August, afaik.

5. Try to keep my murderous impulses in check at work. So far, so good.

At least this time, goals are getting worked on.  Smiley

2. Unload boxes. Moving right along.

3. Keep yard mowed. Got the front caught up, just need to hit the back.

4. Retrieve stuff from my Mom's house. (3 1/2 hour drive away.) Making a small run next week.

5. Try to keep my murderous impulses in check at work. So far, so good.

Thank you so much! It's been such a high since Friday; it feels surreal. I don't actually believe it. I keep on opening the document (which irritates my computer greatly Wink) to check that I've written the last words. I suppose once I start editing this week it'll feel more real.

I wish you continued good luck in your writing as well. Smiley
