Since I started it I'll have to say I'm into a lot of Viking and Folk Metal, Punk, and 70s and 80s Metal.  Favorite band would have to be Tyr Cheesy

I'm into Gothic and Industrial for the most part, but I enjoy certain Techno and Darkwave, too.  I also like some classic rock, 80s music and (now and then) punk rock.

Faith No More

my fiance and I were listening to 'Epic' today and discussing how it was the only FNM song we knew of.  Do they have multiple albums?

As for myself:
Our Lady Peace
Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave, himself)
Collective Soul
Gorillaz
Foo Fighters
Muse
Modest Mouse

I guess you can file me mostly under alternative rock.

I like weird music haha  Cheesy  Like Thom Yorke, Coldplay's new songs, Kronos Caravan Quartet, Radiohead, Puccini, Philip Glass, Bon Iver, Muse, Benny Benassi, Britney Spears, MGMT, Drowning Pool, Enya, Death Cab for Cutie, La Sonora Dinamita, Earth Wind and Fire, El General, Bob Marley, Flyleaf, Imogem Heap, Michael Jackson, Marcus Viana, Outcast, Santana, Shakira, Jimi Hendrix, Mana, Loreena McKennitt....

and......THE BEALTES!  Grin

Haha, anyways, I can go on forever. As you can see, I don't have a favorite genre, but I know what I definitely DO NOT like. I can't stand rap. I just like to dance, I need music I can dance to whether it be rave music or classical or belly-dancing or going crazy in a mosh pit  Grin

I love a wide array of different music, but I'd have to say my favorite genre would be 60's and 70's classic rock. As for a favorite band, it's a close tie between The Beatles and The Who; I also adore The Rolling Stones, Cream, The Doors, etc.

I'm also very into modern music, though. I like The Killers, Gorillaz, Muse, Radiohead, Mindless Self Indulgence, The Strokes, Deltron 3030, Weezer, The White Stripes, The Ting Tings, The Kooks, Kanye West, John Mayer, Imogen Heap, Green Day, Flobots, Coldplay, Daft Punk (not-so-modern), and a bunch of other random stuff. x)

Hahaha, I have a fairly eclectic taste in music, but Týr is among my favorites.  I'm also quite partial to Amon Amarth.  \m/^_^\m/

I am a music lover, with highly diverse tastes. I love Bach, and other classical composers. I also like Jean Luc Ponty, and that sort of thing. But just as often as not, I say that it sounds like Lamb of God inside my head all the time!!!! So much music moves me, especially when its in tune with my mood, that it's hard to say what my favorite is. Although, Pink Floyd is a band that I always find myself returning to over and over. Apparently, I HAVE become comfortably numb!!!! Cool

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faith_No_More  Yes, it looks like they had five.  I had 'We Care a Lot" and remember dancing at Todd's On Thursday Nights to it - ahhh, those were some crazy days...  I even remember the words, great, now I have it stuck in my head.

Music has played a large part in my life. It helped me through some difficult times. Generally I can listen to most types of music but my favourites are Native American, Gregorian Chant, 16thc Church, classic,  ambient, 80's and trance.

I mostly go for Jazz and Blues, but I still like the music of my youth 'Glamrock' and the comic operas of Gilbert and Sullivan.
