That's an interesting article (although the automatic translation isn't very good in places).  I did not see many surprises in its predictions. Although I'm sure that the chance that the US could be majority Catholic my 2050 due to immigration from Latin America will further fuel the anti-immigrant fire (as many of the strongest opponents to immigration seem to be fundamentalist Protestants.

Im sorry about the translation, I know is not the best but I want it to share it. The  article doesn't says anything about the old religions or any type of paganism and it concentrates only in the biggest and most growing religions, but limiting only to the three "most popular" christianism , islamism and buddhism. When I found the article I was expecting to read something about the growing of the pagans communities or people adopting religion beyond their national, traditional, or cultural background.

Do you believe that this fundamentalist protestants use their religion to make politics?

In the US, they are extremely political -- many seem more political than religious.

Finding the line between the two in Fundamentalist Protestants in the US in many cases requires a magnifying glass on a good day.

And that's before you get to the REALLY crazy groups, like the Family.
