Not all of those 7% religions belief in violence, however. Some, like the Jehovah's Witnesses are actually fairly pacifist. Even some of the ones you probably associate with violence actually teach against it in most cases.
Eh, maybe I just screwed up the test by saying 'not applicable' so many times. I noticed I had a bunch of clusters of the exact same number (60%, 45%, 44%).

It's been a long time since we did the Belief-O-Matic on The Cauldron, so it is probably time to do it again. Take the Belief-O-Matic at

http://www.beliefnet.com/Entertainment/Quizzes/BeliefOMatic.aspx

and report you results in this thread. Remember to pick the answer that BEST fits your beliefs for each question -- even if there is no answer that perfectly fits. Remember that answers with OR in them treat all alternatives equally. Also remember to rank the importance of each question to your beliefs (High, Medium, or Low). The results are always interesting, although not always perfectly accurate.

The result will be a list with the faith group represents the faith that Belief-O-Matic thinks most closely matches your beliefs. However, even a score of 100% does not mean that your views are all shared by that faith, or vice versa. !00% really just seems to mean that it is the faith group that most closely matches your answers. Belief-O-Matic then lists another 26 faiths in order of how much they have in common with your professed beliefs. The higher a faith appears on this list, the more closely it aligns with your thinking.

Paste your result list into this thread. Feel free to comment on it too.

Result:
1.  New Age (100%)
2.  Liberal Quakers (94%)
3.  Unitarian Universalism (94%)
4.  Neo-Pagan (93%)
5.  Reform Judaism (82%)
6.  Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (79%)
7.  Mahayana Buddhism (76%)
8.  Sikhism (73%)
9.  Baha'i Faith (72%)
10.  Taoism (69%)
11.  New Thought (60%)
12.  Secular Humanism (60%)
13.  Theravada Buddhism (56%)
14.  Scientology (56%)
15.  Orthodox Quaker (53%)
16.  Jainism (53%)
17.  Orthodox Judaism (52%)
18.  Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (49%)
19.  Islam (44%)
20.  Hinduism (42%)
21.  Nontheist (41%)
22.  Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (27%)
23.  Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (22%)
24.  Seventh Day Adventist (18%)
25.  Eastern Orthodox (13%)
26.  Roman Catholic (13%)
27.  Jehovah's Witness (5%)

I think the quiz would be more valuable to us if it broke down Pagan paths into different ones, instead of only offering "Neo-Pagan" as the one Pagan catch-all.  I like it that I'm more similar to Reform Judaism than any Christian group except Quakers, and I don't know if I consider Unitarian Universalists to be "Christian" since they are pretty good at being just about everything.  Doesn't suprise me that Jehovahs is at the bottom. I have a sign by my front door telling them to go away.  Maybe I could just post this results page by my door instead. "Jehovahs, you are 5% or less with me. Go down to 7-11.  You have better odds with the Qwik Pik."

I find it incredible that I am more compatible with Jehovah's Witnesses than with Roman Catholics, since I have been a RC for much of my adult life prior to my recent faith crisis...or maybe, faith reclamation, to judge from these results!

Two percentage points really isn't much difference on a quiz like this one.
