Hello!

I'm new to the forum and TCN Social Network. I must say I really enjoy the ning site over there.

I live in South Austin, Texas out toward the Salt Lick. Do I fit into the Pagan religion box? I'm not sure. I love being outside and feel most refreshed just enjoying a clear wind and warm sun on my face.

Growing up in the Methodist faith brought me a great amount of insight to what Christ has to offer, but I need my own faith, not just my parents. Does that make sense to anyone else? Anywho, I look forward to learning what folks have to say and perhaps giving feedback.

Have a good Tuesday,
Théann

It confuses me a bit. Why do you feel that way? Is something missing from your current faith? If so, identifying what you feel is missing can help you find a religion that offers what you need.

For the past few years when I ask myself why I believe something the way I do, I only come up with the very Forrest Gump like impression of "My Momma always told me..." SO yes, there are missing pieces and I really feel like this will be a good site to look for a good fit.

That makes complete sense. I started looking into Paganism for exactly the same reason. I didn't grow up under any specific religion, but my family did press the Christian god in their own, slightly close-minded ways.

I took a while a couple of years ago to give Christ a chance (pardon any puns) but it never felt like...well, home, for lack of a better word.

This is a really great forum full of truly amazing people. I'm sure whatever questions you'll have, you can find some answers to them here. Or at least get pointed in the right direction.

Welcome to the cauldron, deary.

Hello! Welcome! I felt the same way before I found the Pagan path...There were things about Christianity that made sense or i accepted but over time i realized that I wasn't agreeing with what i was being told because it was right for me, I simply agreed because most of the people around me said that's the way it is...
Your certainly not alone in your search for what feels right to you!  I hope you find what your looking for Smiley
