In the revitalization chat that Finn and I had, we started working on some information to give the SIG new direction. I posted this in the discussion about a new SIG name, but I thought it deserved it's own thread. As it currently stands:

Quote
About this SIG

The RCP SIG is a community of people with a shared desire for a historically informed religious practice based on the religious beliefs, practices and encompassing cultures of the ancient Celts. Our members come from a wide variety of religions and paths; some may be wholly Celtic in focus, and others may not. We have a healthy love and respect for history and research, and welcome unproven spiritual gnosis when it is properly identified. Continental, Insular and pan-Celtic approaches to Celtic spirituality are all welcome here.

Our goal is not only to foster a community of Celts, but to create a resource of information and inspiration usable by any modern Celt, whether they are a Celtic Reconstructionist or a Celtic Wiccan.

What are your thoughts? Once we have an approved version we'll be putting it up on the RCP's SIG website (we don't have one at the moment, but you can look at the Ta Hiera and Reformed Kemetics SIG pages for an example. The above paragraph will likely be worked into the "About the Reformed Celtic Polytheism SIG Board (Special Rules)" thread as well, to help new members.

What are your thoughts?

I like it.  I particularly like that "information resource" is part of the mission.  I think, if we put our minds to it, we can really develop a good, informative website that can be a resource for all of us, as well as for those who are new to the path/s.

What are your thoughts?

Works for me. I don't think I could have put it any better, in fact.

What are your thoughts?
What I said in the other thread.  It still makes my very eclectic self feel all warm and fuzzy and included - while retaining a strong emphasis on sound historical scholarship.

Since we've had all good responses, we've just asked Randall to update the About thread and set up the SIG website!
