After grounding, I always hug the tree near my grounding spot. When I was hugging it earlier, a dead branch fell. Trees are supposed to get rid of dead branches. Somebody told me it was probably the positive energy I meant to transfer to it that caused it to get rid of that growth-blocking branch that fell.

Does that sound right, or was the tree saying or intending something else? This is a healthy tree by the way, so I'm sure its a positive thing.

If i had to hazard a guess(and that's all this is, since I'm not the tree, or you, and wasn't there to witness it), I'd say: It's a tree, it probably doesn't mean anything. Not to imply that there are no spirits or energy present in the tree, obviously, but its a tree & not exactly the worlds most complex organism. Similarly to how if you pet a cat, hair comes off in your hand, I'd say you jostled the tree(physically, spiritually, or more likely both), and it caused it to do something it was already gunna do anyway. I couldn't think that it meant much.

However, to look at both sides of the coin, if it did mean anything, it's probably something positive. Perhaps you enabled it to unblock something like you thought, or perhaps the tree thought it was giving back something for the energy you gave it(were you looking for wood to make a wand, or do you need this kind of bark for some ritual ingredient or something? If so, take its offering). Either way, I can't see any spirit getting pissed at being channeled positive energy.

That thought of wand wood occurred to me earlier, a while after the tree branch fell. I'll have to see if this branch is suitable. The tree is too large and firm to physically jostle though.

Perhaps it's not meant for wand usage though either. Perhaps it's one of those "hang on to it until needed." type of objects we get in life and then go "Why didn't I keep that?!"

I've heard others tell of perfectly good wands made from sticks and branches that have fallen.
For me... I see it as dead, no energy of the tree held in it. The aspects/correspondance may have some bits remaining.
But like any tool... the power and direction comes from the user... not the tool.

As of now, I'm wondering why nature seems to speak out only some times when I ground- its happened twice out of doing it once a day since Sunday.
Edit: I recall being told it might be because I'm expecting something to happen most of the time, and I'm supposed to just let it happen. I just find it difficult to not expect things.
